The New York based artist Rona Pondick, in my opinion, can be described as the nightmare artist. Here sculptures are scary and yet fascinatingly beautiful. She takes the term hybrids to a whole new level. She combines human body parts with various members of the animal kingdom.

Rona Pondick’s work has been exhibited internationally and is in numerous public collections, including all the mayor museum and art houses. It surprises me that I never heard of hear, I love the way she thinks and execute her art.

De New Yorkse Rona Pondick is al ettelijke jaren bezig in de kunst-scene, jammer genoeg had ik nog nooit van haar gehoord. Ze heeft in verschillende grote musea gestaan over de hele wereld.

Haar werk is verschrikkelijk eng en menig persoon zou nachtmerries krijgen bij het zien van veel van haar werk. En toch is het fascinerend mooi, ze geeft de term hybryden een hele nieuwe betekenis. Niet alleen haar gedachtengang maar vooral de uitwerking van haar werk is van een ongekend hoog niveau.
