Well, I am back on track, sort of anyway, and I like to share the most inspiring book I have read in years.

This book is a must for those who claim to love art, it gives an
insight of the success story of the self made man Charles Saatchi. He
is one of the moving forces of the modern age, founder of the world
famous advertising agency and the most influential art collector of our
time. He refuses to be interviewed but now you can read his bold responses on a battery of questions ask by leading journalists as well as members of the public.

Nice little touch is that he is the husband of Nigella, my heroin, she played a small part in this book.

Daar ben ik weer, na een lange week van absentie, veel inspiratie opgedaan en barstend van ideeën. Eén van de katalysatoren achter dit alles is het boek van Charles Saatchi.

Een ieder die beweerd van kunst te houden moet dit boek lezen. Charles is groot geworden door het wereldwijd verspreide reclame bureau, Saatchi & Saatchi en de grootste kunstverzamelaar van onze tijd. Aan hem hebben we de kunsttempel bij uitstek te danken Tate Modern in London. Hij geeft nooit interviews maar voor dit boek maakte hij een uitzondering, vooraanstaande journalisten als ook mensen uit het gewone publiek hebben vragen opgesteld en hij geeft op een hele scherpe manier antwoorden.

Een geweldige bijkomst is dat hij de echtgenoot is van Nigella is, mijn kookheldin en af en toe passeert ze de revue in het boek.
